Travis's early years were spent in Sterling, Nebraska, in the southeastern part of the state, where he assisted his uncles in their longstanding Hereford business that spans nearly a century. Tending to cattle chores and their Farrow to Finish hog operation, kept him actively engaged on the farm. After graduating from Sterling High School in 1999, Travis pursued a brief career in arena football in Lincoln. In 2005, he married his wife, Tiffany and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, for four years. The couple returned to Nebraska in 2009, where Travis established his own Breeding Stock cow-calf program, known as Walters Angus. Travis and Tiffany are proud parents of twin boys, Jaxen and Graysen, and another son, Drake. In their leisure time, the family bonds over their shared love of sports, including football, wrestling, and baseball. They also enjoy activities such as hunting, fishing, and spending quality time at Table Rock Lake.
